The kitchen had all the amenities we needed and the games cabinet was a jaw-dropping addition. We loved the small fire and had everything we needed to make one for a super cosy evening. The extensive "manual" provided insider's knowledge for exploring the area. The cottage had everything we needed, from a well-equipped kitchen to a comfortable lounge. The little welcome pack with tea bags and biscuits was a nice touch. We also appreciated the free wi-fi, free parking, electric kettle, cookware, flat-screen TV. The playpen and cots were perfect for our baby, and the board games provided extra entertainment. Plus, we were thrilled that pets were allowed, and the no-smoking policy on-site was great.

I had the pleasure of using their provided towels, which were absolutely fabulous. They were so soft and fluffy, I felt like I was wrapped in a cloud.

Missing out on all the closed restaurants and pubs nearby was such a shame. I mean, who needs food and entertainment when you're on a country escape, right?
